Coping with Grief Through Art

Just like adults, young children also grieve when they lose a loved one. Jacqueline Bequette, an art teacher at Omaha’s Benson West, noticed that many of her students had suffered the loss of a loved one and eventually found a way on how she can help them deal with grief. Grief Sessions to Help Deal with Loss of a Loved One

For six long weeks, Stout Funeral Homes will sponsor various grief sessions that will focus mainly on dealing with grief. After-care coordinator Joyce Brooks is in charge of facilitating small groups wherein participants are allowed to express their emotions in a safe and confidential setting.
