The Importance of Rituals in Life, Death, and Business

People turn to rituals in the face of loss no matter if it’s the death of a loved one, a bad breakup, or loss of job. Michael I. Norton, a behavioral scientist became interested in mourning rituals after reading “This Republic of Suffering” from Harvard University President Drew Gilpin Faust. The book describes the different ways that parents, children, spouses, and friends dealt with the enormous loss of soldiers during the American Civil War. Bollywood Saddened by the Death of Jiah Khan

Bollywood celebrities were shocked by the death of actress Jiah Khan who was only 25 years old. Jiah was found hanging in her residence at around 11 p.m. Her real name is Nafisa Khan. She made her debut with Ram Gopal Varma’s “Nishabd” with Amitabh Bachchan in 2007. Varma called Jiah a girl with “spunk and spirit”. “No matter what her problem was I just so wish she applied her on-screen philosophy of ‘Nishabd’ to her own life. Dealing with the Death of Son at a Group Home

Paul McCann was 42 back in 2011. That was the same year that he died. Paul was beaten badly after he took a few cookies in the kitchen of the group home where he was living.
