August 28, 1916- July 9, 2014 Loving wife of the late Dr John N. Edson. Beloved mother of Joanne N. Rhodes (David), of North Carolina, and John R. Edson (Ann Marie), of Massachusetts. Predeceased by her loving son-in-law, Barclay Blayman. Cherished grandmother of Sarah Blayman, Tim Blayman (Jane), Megan Grandin (Philip), and John Matthew Edson, as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Following graduation from The Long Island College School of Nursing in 1938, Fran worked at LICH, where she met her husband, John, whom she married in 1941. After the birth of her children, Fran devoted time to working closely with her husband, and numerous community and LICH organizations and activities. She was a member for many years of The Guild of Long Island College Hospital, and held the offices of President and Treasurer. Other memberships included
