Father Ortiz-Garay was born on October 16, 1970 in Mexico City, Mexico, was ordained to the Priesthood at the Archdiocese of Newark as a member of the Neocatechumenal Way on May 29, 2004, incardinated into the Diocese of Brooklyn on December 10, 2019 and died Friday, March 27, 2020 at Wyckoff Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn. Father Ortiz-Garay had been serving in the Diocese of Brooklyn since 2009 beginning as a parochial vicar at Saint Joseph’s Co-Cathedral in Brooklyn. For more information Call 718.875-2515
