Camp Emily Supports Grieving Children

In their effort to provide support to grieving families and children, Camp Emily was developed through the bereavement program of Lakeland Hospice. It is designed to help children ages 7-18 as well as their families who have experienced losing someone they love. This year, the day camp will be held on October 10 at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Because of the donations received, there is no charge to participate in the said day camp. Taking a Photograph of a Still-born Child Can Help Bereaved Parents

Remember My Baby (RMB) is a charity organization co-founded by Nicky Heppenstall — a bereaved mother herself — that offers its services to parents with still-born children. Their goal is to help the former capture precious moments with their babies before they part. RMB now has 130 specially-trained volunteer photographers who can be sent on short notice to help bereaved parents create photographic documentaries of their babies and give them mementos that they can treasure forever.
