Virginia Beach – Anthony Gargiulo, affectionately known as “Tony” by his friends, 77, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away after fighting a courageous battle on April 8, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, New York on August 8, 1936, Anthony was the son of the late Anthony and Renee Gargiulo. Anthony moved to Virginia Beach, VA from NYC in 1980s. Anthony was a vibrant and charming individual who loved life and interacting with people. He was passionate about sharing exquisite Italian cuisine and he successfully fulfilled this desire as an owner of the Il Giardino Ristorante located in Virginia Beach. Local patrons and tourists considered Il Giardino Ristorante to be one of the finest restaurants in town.
