French Documentary Accused of False Contents by Israelis

In a French documentary on the Israeli forces versus Palestinian gunmen battle in 2000, they feature a father and his son caught in between the battle, both looking very helpless. The documentary also implies that the two individuals were shot, and the son killed, by the Israeli troops. Just recently, Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, expressed his disapproval of the said documentary and demanding that the French correct the information regarding the boy’s death. Dying is inevitable, it’s part of being alive. Grieving comes after losing someone dear to our hearts. These are common occurrences that nobody can escape from. But talking of death and bereavement isn’t a very common topic within a cafe, over coffee and cake. This isn’t the case for a café in Cleveland, Ohio as conversations of death-related issues were the highlight of the customers during the inaugural “Death Cafe ” event. Shelly Barnard, a social worker and co-host of the event, said the more you talk about death, the less scary it will be. “Talking about death lets you know what’s most important in life. It keeps everything in perspective,” said the 44-year-old Lakewood resident. “We need to be more like the ancient cultures and celebrate death.”

Oklahoma Tornado Report Miscalculations Sorted

The most recent Oklahoma tornado has definitely wreaked havoc in the area. This unfortunate phenomenon has brought about confusion to various responsible individuals such as the police, the local government and medical aids. Man Came Back to Life After Being Thought Dead

A 34-year old man in Zimbabwe was thought to have already died when he was found in his home after being ill for a long time. The next day, however, when all his friends and relatives were really to bid him good-bye on his funeral, Lot Gaka, who is his boss, noticed the man move his legs. Brighton Dama Zanthe was immediately rushed to the hospital and was able to go home two days later. In his interview, Zanthe said: “What I can only confirm is that people gathered at my house to mourn but I was given another chance and I am alive. Victim’s Dad Pleads for Mercy

Nikki Relton died in a car accident when the car that she was riding in crashed. The one who was behind the wheel at the time of the accident was her boyfriend Gary Bennett, who was later found out to have fallen asleep while driving. They were driving home after a vacation. New Florida Law to Make Protesting During a Funeral Illegal

The state of Florida has passed a bill that makes protesting within 500 feet of a funeral illegal. Moreover, it also bans people from gathering and protesting an hour before and after a funeral service. This Funeral Buffer bill may sentence individuals to up to a year in prison when violated. According to supporters, the bill’s purpose is, “To provide a solemn moment for the families of a loved one to grieve and it provides an opportunity for folks to exercise their right to free speech but to do so in way that allows friends and family to say their goodbyes in peace.” This law will take effect in October of this year.
