Zulli, Mauro

December 12, 2016
Mauro ‘Mark’ Zulli, 84, of Boerum Hill passed peacefully in his home with his family by his side.
A Brooklyn native, Mark attended Brooklyn College where he earned both Bachelors and Masters Degrees.  He later joined the army and is a Korean War veteran.
Mark was a loving man and well respected in his community.  During his time as Boerum Hill Community president, Mark helped institute its landmark status, build and maintain its gardens, and establish community events.  A perennial Brooklyn Museum member/contributor, founder and former treasurer of the Wyckoff-Bond Garden, Mark dedicated much of his time to the improvement of the community.  With prior careers as Chemist, Accountant, Real Estate and Stock Broker, former Atlantic Avenue business owner and antiques dealer, Mark enjoyed a diverse and full life.
Mark was well known for his love of the arts, his knowledge of antiques, his ability to find diamonds in the rough, and to enjoy long, thoughtful conversations with friends and neighbors.
Mark is survived by his brother, Philip Zulli, niece, Elizabeth Lusuriello, nephews, Philip and John Zulli, and a host of family and dear friends who meant an enormous amount to him.
There will be a service at the Scotto Funeral home on 1st Place (at Court Street) in Carroll Gardens Saturday, 12/17, from 11:00am until 12:30pm.
