Tips on Approaching Those Remembering Baby Loss This Holiday Season

November 26, 2014
Losing a child can be very difficult for the parents — losing a new born before they even had a chance to hold him in their arms or see his eyes open may be even more devastating.
If you know a couple, or anyone, who have lost their child, here are some things that you can keep in mind to help them make it through the holiday season:
  • Offer to create a family ritual to pay tribute to the baby.
  • If you haven’t the parents ever since the loss, let them know that you wish them well in the gathering.
  • Don’t be afraid to engage in a conversation about their loss.
