Thomas M. Hodgens, age 70, entered into eternal peace in Brooklyn Heights, New York on March 10, 2025.

Thomas was born in Brooklyn, NY to Mary and William Hodgens on August 28,1954. He was raised in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, an area he came to love and cherish. He attended Visitation BVM school in Red Hook and St. Stephens HS in Carroll Gardens, NY.  He was employed for many years at Long Island College Hospital until it closed its doors in 2014. He spent his retirement years enjoying long walks in historic Brooklyn neighborhoods, reading about historical events, visiting churches and spending time with his family and friends.

Thomas leaves sisters Mary Ann Schwencke of Staten Island, NY; Isabel Ahearne of Wantagh, NY and brother James Hodgens of Surf City, NJ to cherish his memory. He will be remembered lovingly by nieces Katie Casella, Meghan Walsh and nephews Edward Ahearne, Brian Ahearne, Patrick Hodgens, James Hodgens, Paul Hodgens. Thomas is predeceased by brother William Hodgens and parents Mary and William Hodgens.
