Chris – you were one of my top 5 favorite brothers. I will miss our great times together. Brooklyn won’t be the same without you. The last month was Hell on earth for you. Thank God you are now with Mom & Dad in Heaven.
Mom and Dad – Good Luck!
Love, Bobby
You know I remember your Dad talking with mine and a bunch of us. He said that Chris had sat down with him to explain he was interested in the priesthood. He was deeply moved. You could see it on his face.
May Chris rest in God’s peace and rise in God’s glory.
He was a wonderful friend and person to all A good friend of my brother Jim McCool he will truly be missed! RIP Fr Chris Cashman & Condolences to The Cashman Family

To the Staff and Parishioners of St. Mary’s,
We extend our Deepest Sympathy and Thoughts to you on the Loss of Father Cashman.
We were Blessed to have had Father Cashman as a Parish Priest here at Our Parish Church of The Shrine Curch of Saint Bernadette in Dyker Heights.
My Dear Wife and I had the privilege to have Served as Ministers of Holy Eucharist with Father during his stay with us.
May Eternal Rest be Granted Unto Father Cashman, May He Sleep in Peace.
Chris, among the great you were always among the greatest. You always had a heart of Gold.
Fr. Chris was a schoolmate, a colleague, and more importantly a friend! He was always supportive and caring. Eternal rest my friend! Please pray for us!
I knew Fr Cashman from. Good shepherd Parish in late 1989 ,when I was an alter boy I was wondering how he was doing after all these years and , just found out he had passed away, a very good priest and brother of Christ Jesus .. May perpetual light shine upon you Until we meet again.. my old dear friend…
We worked together at CYO in the 1980s Coney Island just prior to becoming a priest. He was a saintly man that cared immensely for those under his care. He set a beautiful example as I was entering adulthood on how to live a life of service to others in need. I am a better person for knowing him. Respectfully, Peter Morris
I remember Chris from my days at Cathedral college Douglaston A kind person always made me laugh when he called me Buddha
