When my family moved from Warren street to Carroll about 10 years ago, Sonny was one of the first people we met. We clicked right away. He watched my son grow up and was always curious how he was doing. Sonny always helped remind me that it was time to move my car for alternate side parking and saved me from so many tickets. Always helpful and he always brightened my day saying “hi” in the morning out front of Lucalis or sitting in his car. I found out his love for chocolate and probably got him too many through out the years. The neighborhood will not be the same without my friend. You will be missed.
If you were lucky to live on Carroll Street, then you knew Sonny was the mayor…
He would do anything for anyone at any time! He knew and loved everyone and everyone knew and loved him. His passing is an end of an era !
Sonny, God bless your generous, beautiful soul. And thank you for all the help you gave my parents and our family over the years.
You will be greatly missed!!!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
We didn’t really know Sonny personally, but he was a very sweet man and neighbor . He would greet us and we may chat a bit . He always had a smile and a wave for us as we would pass by on our way to and from church . He is one of the original, cherished, icons of Henry St and his presence on his beach chair will certainly be missed! Sonny , Rest in God’s Sweet Peace !
Sonny, thank you for always looking out for me. I will miss you and Henry street won’t ever be the same ❤️
