Kauai Hospice Helps in Memorializing Lost Loved Ones

Coping with the death of a loved one can be painful and challenging especially during holiday season. Now in the hopes of providing support to those who have recently lost their loved ones, Kauai Hospice is offering a chance to memorialize their memories. This year, two trees of Remembrance evergreens were set up at Kukui Grove Center and The Shops at Kukuiula. People can purchase ornaments that they can either put on the trees or take home. Coping with Grief Through Art

Just like adults, young children also grieve when they lose a loved one. Jacqueline Bequette, an art teacher at Omaha’s Benson West, noticed that many of her students had suffered the loss of a loved one and eventually found a way on how she can help them deal with grief. In order to allow the students to remember the loved one who passed away, she created a lesson plan across every grade level.
