Anthony Blasi, born on June 7, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to his parents, Frank and Lena Blasi, passed away at his home on October 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Anthony spent his whole childhood in Brooklyn with his parents and his sister Linda, whom he loved and cherished, deeply. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1953 and very proudly served his country for four years. He was a hardworking man who drove as a routeman and worked additional jobs on the weekends. In 1963, he met and married Eileen Carubis, and together they raised five children. He worked seven days a week to support his family and to ensure his wife could be at home to raise their kids.
Over the years, Anthony, (known to friends and family as “Tony”), was blessed with eight grandchildren. Those grandchildren often argue about who was the “favorite” because he made them all feel like they were loved the most. Tony became the favorite uncle, on both sides of the family, to many nieces and nephews. Among them, he did have a favorite, and she knows who she is.
Having put in enough work hours, all his life, Tony decided to retire at age 62. He went on to spend his time with his family and friends, especially enjoying the time he shared with his kids and grandkids. He traveled, enjoying many vacations with family and extended family, especially the Hodgens family. He found the greatest joy celebrating all of life’s major milestones. He loved to be present for the weddings, the births and Christenings of all the babies, the birthdays and anniversaries. He was also present for all of life’s more difficult moments and was always a rock of support for his loved ones.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, Frank Blasi and Lena Blasi. He will be loved and remembered always by his wife, Eileen Blasi, his children, Frank Blasi, Donna Miglino, Anthony Blasi and his wife, Marianne Blasi, Michael Blasi, and Michele Hodgens and her husband, Todd Hodgens, his grandchildren, Jennifer Blasi, Alec Hinz, Christopher Hodgens, Joseph Clarke, Michael Serpico, Michael Miglino, Emily Miglino, and Giana Maria Blasi, his sister, Linda Bravata, and his nieces and nephews, especially Melissa Bravata and Christopher Bravata. May he rest in eternal peace.
