Simone Lentini, 85, passed away on March 29, 2021 with all his family by his bedside. Even though he fought hard through his illness, God called him away from this world and invited him back home. His loving heart left a beacon of light for all that knew him.
Simone was born in the town of Noci, Italy in 1935. His parents Giuseppe and Laura and 10 siblings are all deceased. Simone relocated to Brooklyn in 1974 with his family and worked as a baker tirelessly to provide a new home and life for his loving family.
Simone is survived by his wife of 60 years, Angelina. He was a proud father to his five loving children and their spouses: Giuseppe, Laura, Vincenzo, Maria, Maddalena, Bob, Frank and John. He was most loved and adored by his six grandchildren, Tommy, Isabella, Johnny, Lauren, Robby and Nico. His big immediate family of nieces and nephews in Noci, Italy also survive him.
Nothing made Nonno happier than seeing his whole family together at his dinner table and then playing Scopa together with a little limoncello. Everyone who knew him will miss his cheerful attitude and bright smile.
