  1. Mary Ann, you were a wonderful person. While everyone will miss you, we are happy that you are no longer suffering, and are at peace.

  2. Mary Ann was a dear friend whom I had the pleasure of knowing since we met at St. Joseph’s College.
We shared many memories as we talked about family life, our children, and history in Brooklyn.
Mary Ann will be missed by all who knew her.

  3. Mary Ann’s life’s work – to research and illuminate the history of New York City’s Syrian Lebanese community — is what originally drew many of us to her orbit, but she soon became more than a colleague: She became a warm and cherished friend. Mary Ann’s love and care for her comrades — and her sense of humor and incandescent smile — enriched our lives for many years. Allayirhamha! We will miss her terribly.

  4. My heart aches to hear this news. I’m praying for Michael & Madeline Dors.
Mary Ann was the best Cousin anyone could have, always friendly and always with a smile.
    Love Cousin Louis

  5. MaryAnn you will miss What a wonderful person she was so kind and beautiful and a wonderful cousin. Rest in Peace My prayers are with her husband Michael and her daughter Madeline.
    Love your cousin

  6. In every encounter, in her relationships both personal and professional, Mary Ann radiated warmth, graciousness, humor, and always, always a concern for others. I consider myself very fortunate that the relationship we first developed during Madeline’s years at Saint Saviour H.S continued beyond that time. May you Rest in Peace and may God wrap your family in His loving care.

  7. All my sympathy and thoughts are with Michael, Madeline and Rosalie(MarAnn’s loving sister) in your great sorrow. I am brokenhearted because the world has lost another beautiful kind soul. I grew up next door to MaryAnn and she was always a very special person.
    Much love, Joanne
