Burns, Rev. Fr. Patrick G.

Father Burns was born on March 17, 1961 in Brooklyn, was ordained to the Priesthood on May 23, 1992, and died Friday, December 14, 2018 at Holy Name of Jesus Rectory.
Father Burns served the Diocese of Brooklyn as Pastor of the Parishes of St. Michael (Brooklyn) and St. Martin of Tours-Fourteen Holy Martyrs (Brooklyn), as Administrator of Blessed Sacrament (Jackson Heights), as Parochial Vicar of the Parishes of St. Catharine of Alexandria (Brooklyn), Blessed Virgin Mary Help of Christians (Woodside) and St. Francis de Sales (Belle Harbor). He also served the Parishes of St. Leo (Corona) and SS. Peter and Paul (Brooklyn). Additionally, he ministered with the Office of Parish Giving.
Father Burns is survived by his brothers Michael, Edward and Daniel as well as his sister Jeanne.

Rest in Peace Father Patrick – I grew up down the street from Father Patrick and his family – I was in his brother Danny’s class at Good Shepherd – The Burns Family was a great family – A family of strong faith – Father Patrick was a great kid and grew up into a great man – My thoughts and prayers are with his family & friends – May The Angels Come To Meet Him – God Bless Father Patrick & His Family

  2. I hear some songs sometimes and they remind me of you. I quite literally fell to my knees when I heard you passed. Your services at St. Michael’s were my favorite from my childhood. I had always wished you could have done one more. I will always remember you, and though I don’t have faith anymore (and found answers for my comfort), I still believe you lead on, elsewhere, beyond this realm that you deserved better from. Because we got everything from you. One of those classic ones, forever forward. I miss you.
