Camp Erin Helps Children Deal with Death

Camp Erin, a free weekend for children and teenagers who have experienced death of a loved one, seeks to offer a combination of fun activities and grief support. It is composed of two sessions each summer with about 75 kids at a time. During the camp, children partake in a scavenger hunt, search for pre-planted rocks and convene as a group to share their thoughts and experiences.
According to Michele Prince, the Camp Erin sessions are very rewarding especially with the fact that these children who came from different socioeconomic backgrounds all take part in various grief-related projects.
