Teaching Children Positive Ways to Deal with Grief

Dealing with the death of a loved one can be very difficult for anyone especially for children. In hopes of helping children learn positive ways to express their grief and deal with all the negative emotions, Good Grief Fun Camp conducted a three-day event for 40 campers.
Sponsored by Putnam County Homecare and Hospice, the campers who were five through 18 year old were given the opportunity to learn about and better understand the grieving process. During the event, the children also visited Challenged Champions and participated in the Good Grief Olympics.
