Grief, pain and anger are some of the common feelings of those dealing with the death of a loved one. If you have a friend or colleague who is going through such difficult time, knowing what to say can be a bit difficult. Well, here is a guideline of the things that you can and cannot say when trying to console a grieving person.
- Give the person the opportunity to share his feelings rather than you giving advice.
- Ask the person whether or not he wants to talk.
- Never ever say that such loss was God’s will.
