My Uncle Ralph and Me on the Mad Tea Party
No one is immune to the grief that the passing of a loved one brings, and when tragedy strikes, children may be the most affected casualties as they may not know how to cope with such a painful loss.

Fortunately, there are organizations out there, like Child Bereavement UK, whose goal is to help out youngsters get better at handling someone’s passing. They offer free bereavement support for kids and young people aged up to 25 years of age.
Just recently, the charity held a Tea Party at Simms Cross Primary School on Kingsway aimed at helping young individuals tackle bereavement in a manner that’s fitting for their young age and raise funds for awareness. The event had a cake sale, disco, and even the special participation of Hetty the elephant, the organization’s mascot.
“I think having the Elephant’s Tea Party was a really good idea because everyone has lost someone they love,” expressed Year 5 pupil Katie Gourlay.
