According to experts, two years, one month and four days is the average amount of time it takes for someone to feel better after losing a loved one. While grieving will never be an easy process, talking about bereavement can have a huge impact on how long it takes for a person to feel more positive after the loss.
Sue Ryder from British hospice charity said that there are many people who tend to bottle up their feelings. Unfortunately, the charity found through their survey that one in six people said they felt like no one knew what they were going through.
