Aniello (Neil) Diorio – (1933-2015)

Born in 1933 in Brooklyn, NY died today after a brief illness surrounded by his wife and family. Neil was a life-long resident of Brooklyn, and worked as an electrical engineer for ConEd until his retirement in 1998. Neil served his country as a tank gunner and paratrooper in Europe with the 11th Airborne Division and was honorably discharged. Neil enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid target shooter, hunter and outdoorsman. He took great pleasure in passing those skills to his children, and grandchildren. An opinionated New Yorker, Neil will always be remember as a loyal husband, concerned dad , and proud grandfather. Neil is survived by his wife of 54 years Carol, and his three children, and six grandchildren.

visitation will be on Friday from 2-5 & 7-9 at Scotto Funeral Home, Brooklyn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday April 11th, 2015 , at Sacred Hearts St Stephen R.C. Church, 125 Summit Street, Brooklyn, at 9:30am

  1. To Lou, Kathy and Kids,
    Thoughts and prayers go to all of you. Although I did not have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Diorio, I often heard the wonderful stories that Lou shared about his Father. My deepest sympathy to the entire Diorio family.

  2. Although I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Diorio only a handful of times, I will always remember a particular grandfatherly act he employed with great skill. We can only hope that we have half his style. Please find comfort in all the great memories you have. Doug Vogel
