At least once in our lives, we have experienced the pain of losing someone dear to us. Coping with a loved one’s death is difficult per se. It is even more complex and painstaking if death casted itself upon more than one person we love.
It is important to understand the following tips to help ease the pains of losing people we love.
- Do not be afraid to mourn. Cry if you have to, shout, and scream away the pain. But always remember, each death is a different experience in its own sense. Avoid pretending that you have a heart of stone when the truth is you really are hurting.
- Do not grieve the losses altogether. this is especially applicable if you lost loved ones in a single incident. Give time for yourself to mourn the death of each person, separately.
- Try to remain as strong as you can. Depending on others is not a sign of weakness. Seek refuge in other people if you have to, but also try to be strong by yourself as much as you can.
