Helping a child deal with the recent death of a loved can be pretty challenging, and even more when his moving on process is hindered by certain conditions such as ADHD. Lisa Aro from Everyday Health shares hers and her husband’s experience on helping their children cope with the death of a close family friend.

- Let them grieve in their own way. But, as parents, stay by their side and offer as much guidance as possible.
- Talk to them and listen to their concerns, and let them know that you are always their to offer comfort.
- Observe your child and watch out for signs of hyperfocusing. Provide them with positive options and matters to consider.
