Royal Couple Meet Worker for Bereavement Charity

A support worker for a British bereavement association called Child Bereavement UK, Christina Sudlow, was privileged enough to have met the royal couple, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when they paid an official visit to the charity’s head quarters.

As it turns out, Prince William has been a patron of the charity and their work since 2009. He and Christina discussed the association’s work in helping bereaved families in South Lakeland. He showed particular interest in the challenges they faced in rural areas.
Child Bereavement UK is working in partnership with Barnardos in South Lakeland to provide bereavement support to children, young people and their families who have been affected by the death of someone important in their lives. The family bereavement service is provided for free. Families can be seen in their own home or at one of the children’s centers. The support can be offered together as a family group or children can be seen individually.
