Catherine Gowing, an Irish veterinarian who vanished and was later found to be murdered in Wales, was given an emotional and moving tribute by her sister.
The 37 year old vet was living in New Brighton, near Mold, when she suddenly vanished in October. Later, parts of her body were found at a couple of different sites in Wales.
The tribute by Catherine’s sister, Emma, was given during her funeral in their native County Offaly and was witnessed by the more than 300 people who were present at the funeral mass that was held in Kinnitty last Thursday.
Emma told those who were attending the funeral service that Catherine was “the closest person to perfection that I had the privilege to know and love”. She also described her sister as a “wonderful daughter” to their parents and added that she was a “gift from God.”
