Nelsen Funeral Home, a funeral home in Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia, is about to be bought by the largest funeral company in the country – Service Corporation International. The deal that is about to be completed was revealed in a release that was made public late last Thursday.
After acquiring the Nelsen Funeral Homes in Ashland and Richmond, and also the Charlottesville and Richmond locations of what’s considered as spin offs of the Nelsen Funeral Homes, the Cremation Society of Virginia, SCI has now set its sights on the Strawberry Plains Road branch.
In addition to completing that particular deal, SCI has also reportedly made agreements to buy the Nelsen Funeral Home in Williamsburg, as well as the Cremation Society pf Virginia in Chantilly. It was also mentioned that the deals were set to be finalized by the end of the year, although there were no details disclosed about the matter.
